Sound like a woman but What shoes?

You want a pair of those Oakley Ciphers. Look less like a golf shoe, more like a running shoe. Spikeless, but also have a replaceable bottom grip save throwing them away in a year when the bottoms worn. £125! And they come in an obscene blue if black or white is too dull!

The nice weather is finally here which means the shorts are on more often than not...problem is, You and I look like knobs wearing smart shoes in the club house with shorts and/or white socks....what shoes can I buy to make me look less of a dick than normal?

As a woman, I would agree that smart shoes like work shoes look wrong with shorts. Some clubs frown on trainers or pumps in the clubhouse.
I think boat shoes

are a good compromise, and can be worn with, or preferably without, socks

I was in American Golf this evening looking for a V2 Rapture for Craw.

The have an offer on some Pumas reduced from £130 to £80.

Might be worth a look?

Failing that....... FootJoy

Ag just took my 6 month Old fj sports back as they split, got a pair of puma cell fusions at £80, make the sports feel like bricks their that comfy,

I assumed OP was asking about non-golf shoes

Me too.

I think something like this looks casual enough to not be shoes, but smart enough to not look like trainers.

I don't have that problem as you can we're pretty much anything as long as its not offensive in the clubhouse which on an evening like this is fantastic. Although due to circumstances I might move club which I think is a bit more of jacket and tie afair.

It all depends on your age and how much you care about style. I always wear a pair of white Skechers sockless footwear shoes. Look really smart and designed to be worn without socks so you do not look a tit in the clubhouse.

In my opinion you can wear anything you like as long as it not deck shoes with white socks halfway up your shins, or you will look a total dick..........

Swanny, I don't think this post could have been much more camp if you had tried. As we said, look for some deck shoes like the link from North Mimms. They are smart but not too smart to wear with shorts, and can be worn without socks if needed.

Thinking of getting a pair myself.
