So i went down to play in my clubs tigers comp single medal last night.Having been on a bit of a bad run i was hopeing this would be my turning point(start of year 8.9 now 9.3) well after a 7 on the par 4 1st i was thinking other wise. However managed to turn it round and came home in a nett 66 on a par 69 course. Which taking into account my 7 on the si 15 gives me a 4 under H/C so im thinking .8 cut oh how wrong i was. You see the stupid green staff had been out mid afternnon and moved the bloody flags about so im now told its a non Qualifier i still get my money for 3rd place but when youhave worked hard to get to single figs it seems very unfair not to get cut!

Is there anything i can do or am i stuck on 9.3?????

That must be really quite annoying for you. Surely you would expect the greenstaff to know better?

Doesn't this count as just another round? Couldn't you put another two cards together and hand them in for an adjustment?

I was under the impression that the green staff are not permitted to move flags positions mid competition. The only time I believe this is permitted is if a particular hole becomes damaged and they have to recut another one.

Unfortunately the club are correct in declaring the comp 'non qualifier' as the course hasn't played the same for everyone.

I can understand your frustration and not being cut. Particularly having recovered from a nightmare start. Mind you those players who had a nightmare round outside of the buffer zone must be chuffed to bits as their handicaps wont change

Non qualifier is fine,however you should be cut on general play anyway so have a word with the hcap sec.

Update spoke to one of the H/C commitee and he informs me as there was only 6 of us under par he will be doing a man over ride to adjust the h/c of the chaps under par so 8.5 here i come.Oh and its a major at our place tomz so maybe my 1st taste of 8!!!

Well just looked at the master h/c list and i am now off of 8.7 so not to sure where the other .2 went however im happy as it seemed at one point that i would end up not been cut at all. Got a medal to night so just need to shoot a 7 over and then i will have my 1st taste of an 8 h/c oh well as long as the stupid green staff lay off there flag moving game!!

Oh and then there is the SS issue.

God this game can take your life over it gets in ya head and thats you gone.

There's a fair chance if he was doing it manually he missed the adjustment for the 1st, hence not coming down another .2??
