snow watch

Good one!:D

Here in west Argyll we did get some snow flurries but accumulation on Wed night came to no more than 1". Last night hasn't brought any more and most seems to have melted. With my Hilux with all terrainers I kind of hoped there would be more for some 'testing' driving.
My wee springer loved the run in the snow though out by Loch Awe but wasn't happy with it stuck on his ears!

This was my street yesterday afternoon and it only got worse.
Pic taken from my in laws house, I live half way up that hill and have a RWD auto car. Boy was it fun, not a drop of grit has been seen.
Street one over a guy parked on the kerb as he couldn't get down his drive and someone lost it and ploughed into him.

Heavy snow here. Icy wind blowing but snow is melting. Course is closed and I expect it will be tomorrow. Not that I'm bothered. I hate winter golf. I haven't played for two weeks. Brrrrrrrrr.

Snowed canny overnight, got a couple of inches, but it's disappearing fast, it'll all be gone this time tomorrow.

ON the subject of snow, my bosses boss lives in Denver and was telling us yesterday that a hotel in Breckenridge had collapsed under the weight of snow, they had had a few heavy snow falls and nigh on 50inches had fallen in the past week. Could you imagine the chaos if the UK got that quantity of snow in the same period?

Woke up at about 3.25am last night with the wind blowing the snow against the windows, would have made great snow drifts. But was only a very light dusting, basically nothing, all gone now.

All white on the higher ground of Breiddon & Welsh Hills near us.

Nephew is at Lake Tahoe , Heavenly, and it's been insane the amount of snow they had, up to 10 feet in places with only half the ski resort open. As you say we'd be done for here with that amount.
