I've just recently upgraded my package to combine tv, broadband and phone. £67 per month with the sports package, unlimited calls and unlimited broadband and there giving me an HD box, new dish etc but I will only get the free HD chanels for £15 installation.

Anyone else got this with sky and is it any good?
I have all the channels but 1 Sky+ box as no other tv's. i use sky player all the time which is good for movies as you can download them or watch straight from the site. Downside is to get sports i needed as you say multiroom or broadband. I opted for the broadband and was told they didn't have access to the BT line so it would cost me an extra £17 per month!! I only live 3KM from the exchange! :(
I hope extra lines are put in and virgin media comes with it as i know people who have their phone, broadband and tv all for what i pay for just Sky!!! aaarrrggghh

but the downside is virgin don't do sport - well you can get ESPN included in XL, which is fine as long as you don't want to watch golf. to get the sky sports channels is about £27/month extra.

I ended up with all the channels as a lot of the sport gets shoved onto SS3 or 4 particularly if it overrruns. I also got another box in the bedroom for £10 per month to stop the arguments over soap v sport

I’ve got sky HD but don’t pay £10 a month for multi-room as I have a aerial cable coming from the back of the HD box goes to our bedroom then the kitchen the picture quality is nearly as good as HD, I can watch the golf in HD why HID goes to any of the other rooms and watches anything you likes on the other tv’s ,heaven !!!!!

Seriously considering "going back"...already have the dish and cables in place so the installer man wouldn't have to do much work.

Do you think if I bunged the installer a fiver (or whatever) he would stick a quad LNB onto my existing dish and run a couple of extra cables into the bedroom so that I could still use my FreeSat box in there. Seems a shame to have to sell it.
How friendly are they????

it's only an F connection at the wall junction. Why not let him install then disconnect and fit a splitter (they're only £5.99 at Maplins)? even Argos sell the extension cables.

We have sky in 3 rooms in the house with a full HD box and I wouldn't be without out it, the golf looks awsome in HD. So excited for Pacific too!

I wish they'd do an option to take out certain Sky Sports channels. I'd probably do without SS1 as it's mainly football. I'd take SS2, 3, 4 and SSN. I reckon it'd be much cheaper.

I think I'll go for it but wait until after June.
A little dicky bird tells me that when Sky launch their new 3D box in June they will be dropping the £10.00 per month fee that they charge at the moment for HD.
If I sign a 12 month contract before then I'll be liable to pay it for the whole year.....

Can you please tell me if I will be able to view the upcoming series "The Pacific" on the regular SKY Movies package or will I have to upgrade to MoviesHD like the adverts for the show suggest?
