An example is my place Par is 71 and sss 72 of the Whites its never below the 72 and over most weeks , now take Carnoustie of the Whites Par is 72 and sss is 75 it very rarely is most weeks 76-78, now theres a lot of lads that play of plus handicaps down there but when they play other courses they struggle and if played on a course where the css was roughly what par was would play of 4-5.

How does CSS work in a competition played over 2 days? Imagine the first day is a gentle spring day, and the second has freezing temperatures and a gale blowing. Is there a CSS per day?
Yes - separate CSS for each day
That's the way it should work...I guarantee there are Clubs that lump them all together for one CSS..
Is it really a risk though..?
Is anyone really going to go through all the potential hassle of formal complaints...?
Especially when many don't actually know or care how it all works..
