My frustration comes from the fact that on at least 4 occasions in the past 12 months I've hit 37+ and not been cut (mainly due to the small field, never more than a dozen, and the high % of cat 4s)
I can only play for hc once a month so I really have to make it count. It's not easy knowing you have to hit 39 to get cut.
Anyway, frustrating half rant over. Glad it sparked a decent debate.

He's too tight.Join a proper Club.
Great minds....![]()
He's too tight.
Should have played with with your society mates Davey La. 37 points would have won by an absolute mile. I'm still chuckling at the guy who came in with 6 points. Makes me look like Sergio bloody Garcia.
i believe you tried 😂😂

Can you explain why the "small field, never more than a dozen, and the high % of cat 4s" has had the effect of preventing a handicap reduction for you?
It would also be useful to know par/SSS for your course.
last time I played, a guy scored 4, but you can't WIN the goose on debut
Any chance of a response?
sorry.
12 is max. Average probably 7/8. Mostly hc and a lot new to golf and improving. Out the 8, (4 cat 4s) 2 will buffer, 4 will have 37 or more, always have 1 dq'ing.
Folks who get good, don't normally hang about
Par and sss 71 
Ive just re checked. From the start of this year, sss down to 69 (par 71) maybe this explains the situation.
one of them easy courses to put in Pauls book...
