shooting less than your age

hi all, played today with our usual collection of bandits, with us was an 83 year old, 4 over after 9, started talking about shooting under his age. unfortunately on the 15th derek lost his ball in deep rough, was 8 over at this time -course is par 71- so it was possible, any body else been close to this milestone

Done it on a few nine holes, but as I'm only 36 it's going to be along time before I think about shooting my age.
Can't see me doing it to be honest.
I think Gary Player holds the record for this does he not?

It's been done lots of times by lots of golfers. If you think about it : an excellent golfer 72 years old on a short course that he's played umpteen times? I bet Gary Player has done it on lots of courses in South Africa.

If you ve been playing all your life, it is not impossible once you get a bit older.

I'm biding my time. For me, I think that my best chance will be when I'm between 65 and 72. Might have to improve a bit though with a 15 h/cap.

Don't see why it's such a big deal. I've done it on nearly every hole I've played.

A guy at my course did it at 71, about a year after he had a bypass op under hypnosis. Nutter.
