There is a pro event I've seen in the states where teams from the PGA, LPGA and Champions tours play each other and the players from each tour use different tees; the senior guys closer than the PGA and the LPGA further in again.

Which is maybe fair enough if it's an established event but I know if I blagged my way into the men's championship at my course I'd not be looking to be treated any differently.

(And I wouldn't win it.... not even close! Wouldn't even qualify... but I'll keep practicing!)

I'm really pleased for her and hope she's about the club tomorrow so I can pass on my congratulations.
BTW there were 5 men playing who were scratch or better and couldn't compete with her

Our best player is a young slip of a girl who hits it miles and is off -3 , also English player.

For what it's worth, I don't think it's unfair that a lady plays off a closer tee.

Not relevant for a Scratch comp, but handicaps would simply change if they played off back tees
