Scottish Fitba'

Celtic did exactly that when they became a plc, Pacific Shelf was there to safeguard the old Celtic Football and Athletic Club name.

That being said, Pacific Shelf and Sevco were created for totally different reasons.
Agreed, the reasoning was different but the purpose was the same.

Having been involved in several divestment, merger and acquisition programmes over the years few are the same (reason, method, outcome etc) but the purpose generally remained the same. To protect part or all of a brand or product from the business itself.

I wasn’t in the Rangers boardroom so can’t comment on the exact asset vehicle that was used but as dodgy as some of these deals seem to be (many bank acquisitions are… how shall we say, questionable!?) they all seem to be legal regardless of appearance.

StJ now know how to score goals but have little idea about how to stop losing goals. Bit inevitable as our #1 goalie is young and inexperienced…when our previous three were top quality.

Aberdeen and rubbish again all of a sudden.
As a Dons fan it didn't surprise me, bit tired from Wed and playing Celtic in Glasgow is a 1 in 10 chance of any kind of result for Aberdeen. After the 2-2 it seemed likely to me that Rodgers would work out a different approach and be more aggressive and they destroyed us. Doesn't take away from the great start Aberdeen have made but a big reality check I think. Be very interested to see how the next Celtic match at Aberdeen goes tho. Will this setback destroy the belief or will they bounce back? Need to put it aside as just a defeat instead of a gubbing and look to the next match. Dundee at home is a great chance to get back on track but it bothers me Aberdeen can only win by 1 goal. Need a convincing 3-0 or 4-0 somewhere.
Having a one team wins all country isn't healthy or interesting and today was deflating in that regard after recent optimism. Pittodrie has been selling out and jumping but this result may halt that, hope not of course.

I think the exertion of Wednesday definitely affected Aberdeen. The timing of the goals, just before and after h/t also changed the game.
Celtic played out of their skins, one of the best performances of the season. Hopefully we can produce the same level of performance in the final. (Probably against Motherwell. )

Good game , both sides played well.

Will Shankland ever score again ?
Out of contract in the spring, suddenly Hearts 'on the table offer' could be a lifeline. :D

The way Craig Gordon is playing Clark is unlikely to make the first team other than by injury.

Celtic seem to be flying, best team since the Larsson era IMVHO
It will be interesting to see where they finish in Europe this year
Said the same thing to my brother in law on Saturday. This Celtic team now is better than the ones under Ange and they are playing better football as well. Never thought I'd be saying that when Rodgers came back, especially with how dreadful the football was in the season he left.

As for Europe, I'm still not sure they can make it through the group stages if I'm honest. Expecting a doing from both Leipzig and Villa and just hoping that they can somehow get 6 points from Bruges, Zagreb and Young Boys as 10 points might get you through.

Don't really bet much these days, but find it hard to understand why Leipzig are odds-against tomorrow night. Ok, they've lost all 3 CL games so far, but they've had to play Liverpool, Athletico and Juve. Currently 2nd in the Bundesliga, they should win comfortably tomorrow night.

Seems like easy money. I remember how good they were a couple of seasons ago when we played them, I get they have sold some players since then but they are still a far better team than us.

Can we just end the Celtic RBL game the now.... 🤯... Playing some great football... Couple of errors we aint been punished for.. But at least it's only a couple and we aren't being as gung ho with the closing down..
Every corner gives me the fear though..
Really cannot call how this is going to go..
