One pundit says is he looking for a penalty, the other one says it looks like a dive.

If he didn't appeal, it's only because he realised how ridiculous he must have looked, even by his standards :D
 
It was the out field player that ran into Butland, who had reached and cleared the ball while he was in the air.
Unless Butland was standing still (which he obviously wasn't), then they were both running towards each other, and they collided after Butland played the ball. It was dangerous play from Butland, the booking was the right decision.

I would think the yellow card would be recinded on appeal.

Unlikely given that yellow cards can only be appealed for simulation or mistaken identity.

It's irrelevant anyway, he's not going to pick up enough yellows to earn a suspension, ditto Hart who did deserve to get booked for time-wasting yesterday.
