Scottish Fitba'

Martin sacked, thank goodness for everyone, I don’t believe anyone should have to endure what he did, forget money, his mental health must be in bits 😞
He will need to go home and cuddle up to Lucy.... Am sure that will cheer him up somewhat...

You must have altitude sickness induced memory loss. Feruguson lost 4 out of 12, drawing another 4 and the football played was dreadful.
Sorry I meant Square Baws and gang were entertaining, agree the fitba was rubbish. o_O
Martin would have taken losing only 4 in 12 matches and would probably still have had a job.

Personally I am sad to see Martin go. I thought he was working hard during the week to get the mentality in the team in order to then get some results. Whoever comes in and manages them has to work with the players Martin bought in. Good job that the majority of them are loans at the back so they can get rid at the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see how the match going fans who necessitated a police escort for Martin to be able to leave the Falkirk stadium the other night react if the new guy who comes in gets off to a shaky start.

Strange how I would love to see Martindale appointed as Gers manager.
I think he would be a breath of fresh air to that establishment

A bit like when the Berwick Rangers manager was appointed after his team beat Rangers in the cup.

The former deputy leader of the Scottish Conservatives has called for "no more Buddhists" as Rangers manager following the sacking of Russell Martin.

Murdo Fraser, who is the list MSP for mid-Scotland and Fife, posted on social media following the removal of the Gers boss after 17 games in charge.

He wrote: "No more vegans, Bhuddists (sic) or Green Party members please Rangers."

Mr Martin has been a vegan since 2014 and was formerly an owner of vegan restaurant Erpingham House.

He revealed in 2018 that he had joined the Green Party, saying he "just thought this aligns with my values and morals".

The former defender has said he is not a "huge fan of organised religion" but has followed Buddhist teachings to help with "visualisation, manifestation, goal-setting".

Mr Martin was appointed Rangers manager in the summer but was sacked on Sunday night after managing just five wins in 17 games in charge.

The final match of his reign was a 1-1 draw at Falkirk, after which he had to be escorted from the stadium by police.
