Both penalties were poor decisions. No foul for the first one, second one, the player was pushed off balance and accidentally handled, not even looking at the ball. Not one Hearts player claimed. The sort of handball Goldson gets away with every other week.

The sending off was very harsh as well, no intent and don’t think there was any contact either.

The only decision VAR have got right was the offside.
It was a decent karate kick to the head, he knew the Hearts player was there.
I am sure he did not intend to injure the player but am only surprised it was not a straight red.
Shankland's offside 'goal' was a very harsh decision.
Celtic played well with 10 men, never gave up

Just listened to Brendan, did nothing apart from moan about the refereeing decisions.

He needs to look at himself and see how Celtic have gone backwards since he took over.

Considering the impact both decisions had on the game, it’s hardly surprising he’s incensed about them.

Even Naismith and Shankland admitted both decisions were wrong.

Hearts do deserve credit for the way they went about the game though, closed Celtic down relentlessly. Keeper made quite a few decent saves as well.

Scottish refs are unhappy about criticism of decisions and for the specific naming of officials. They are citing worries about retribution against officials and their families. Social media "pile ons" may be an issue.

Just a thought, but it may be time to bring in Referees from elsewhere and get rid of the same useless lot we have.

Celtic appealing Yang's karate kick to the head red card.
Unbelievable, take your beating with a bit of grace guys.

Just imagine the suspension if that action had been on a rugby field.
Is that the red card that every pundit said was the wrong decision and it was a yellow at most?

There was no force and certainly no intent, he was trying to trap the ball when Cochrane stuck his head in. I don't think there was even any contact.

The exact same thing happened last week with Casey of Motherwell and the ref didn't even give a yellow.

Trap the ball at head height.........well that is some skill.:)
The sole of his boot was right in the Hearts players face.

You saying he made a contact? Even if he did, which I doubt, there was no force at all.

Of course, that didn't stop Cochrane rolling about like he was shot.

A yellow would have more than sufficed. Even Shankland said after the game it was harsh.

but didn't Rodgers say "The guy's not meaning to do it, but of course if you're taking a stud in the eye, it's dangerous play. It was clearly a red card"

very different type of incident, the St Mirren player went flying in and caught Joe Hart will the full force of his studs in the face. Nice try at mischief making though!

There's loads of examples this season that only a yellow or no card at all was given. There doesn't seem to be any consistency in the decision making.

You're right, my mistake. I was fooled by the 'striking' similarities of the two incidents :p
