They did once with Juninho I think. Realised it wasn't right, declared it and paid the tax due on it.Did Celtic use ebts at all?

A way of avoiding tax. Instead of paying through PAYE you get a loan from an offshore trust that you never pay back.Sorry to ask but what is EBT/EBTS

What was illegal was Rangers giving players “side letters” saying the ‘loans’ they were giving them would never need to be repaid. That’s tax evasion.A way to avoid paying income tax. Pay the money into a trust rather than taxing at source.
Ridiculous really when you think what players earned.
I don't think the process is actually illegal, and that was why Rangers tried to use this to their advantage.
Found out in the end though!
Was anyone ever charged and convicted of any illegality? What was illegal was Rangers giving players “side letters” saying the ‘loans’ they were giving them would never need to be repaid. That’s tax evasion.
There's not much point going over the same old ground on this it's boring now. Everyone is pretty entrenched in their views. I'm just glad it wasn't Celtic that done it and ended up going out of business. Was anyone ever charged and convicted of any illegality?
Probably got his eye on being Hibz 5th manager in a calendar year.Next move to Celtic?
Thanks, but I couldn't care less about anything.Just a brief message to all you Scottish fans on here wishing you a "Happy Burns Night". Have a great night and enjoy.

Someone reciting Tam O'Shanter with gusto is a sight to behold and will never be forgotten.Love a bit of Burns…organised and hosted a Burns Supper and Ceilidh at my club for three years but not this or last and getting a few requests for next year. Must set things in motion.
I also like The Twa Dugs for what it says about the rich and the poor.Someone reciting Tam O'Shanter with gusto is a sight to behold and will never be forgotten.
Scottish football needs a strong Hearts, just as it needs a strong Aberdeen. Former closer to coming to fruition than latter, but how long can Hearts hold on to Shankland.Hearts starting to find the form that the team have been promising for quite some time.
