Saturday rollups

I don't really know what either are, truth be told...

Rollup/Swindle = A bunch of players that turn up on an informal basis and make up into groups of 3 or 4 depending on how many there are. No obligation to be there every week, usually involves putting a fixed amount of money into a pot which is then paid out on whatever format is agreed (winner takes all, 1st 2nd 3rd, best front/back 9 and overall etc etc) EVERY rollup I've partaken in involves copious amounts of banter and mickey taking. Usually an excellent way for new members to integrate into a club. Golden rule of a rollup....you don't get to pick your own group, they are drawn on the tee/putting green/bar just prior to play.

LOBS (ladbrook old boys) which is a thursday roll up comp
