Yep, predictable is a great thing in my opinion. Same in football, the best teams play the same 11 most weeks.
Very happy with the picks. Fitz definitely deserves it, no doubt in my mind about that. My only question mark was Straka and who would take his place if it came to it, so hopefully his personal issues are now sorted.
It has the making of a very good and competitive Ryder cup. Both teams very similar in terms of quality. Almost wish I was a neutral to enjoy it regardless of the result!

No surprises then, the team we expected. Same as two years ago but one Hojgaard swapped for the other one. I think it's definitely a good thing to have that team cohesion, they'll meet up and hopefully pick up right where they left off with a feel good atmosphere in the camp.

Some are obvious, like Rahm & Hatton. In others though I think he'll mix it up - no reason to stick Bob with Rose this time since he's not a rookie anymore. I was a little surprised we never saw a Rory/Shane pairing last time too.

If captaincy of the RC was as much of a ‘thing’ as everyone says it is, there really ought to be pairings made (esp in Foursomes) based on the strengths and characteristics of the golfers game — and not as basic as ‘they’re from the same country (or island), they should be paired together’ — a 10 yr old could come up with pairings as simple as that
