Ryder Cup 2025 - All matters

I think it's Rasmus vs Hall quite clearly - Nicolai isn't in good form, Wallace same (unless he wins the Belfry), Penge would be a wild card pick, but he too would almost have to win at The Belfry.... Then again, who knows?

How about Rasmus AND Nicolai? What a pairing they could be! Nicolai was only 1 shot away from winning at the Belfry, and he did well at the 2023 RC. I would have him above Fitzpatrick, who I expect will get the nod from Luke.

Other picks Rahm, Lowry, Aberg, Hovland, Straka.

Wouldn't that be a waste of a pick?

They're identical twins! Pick one and take two, play the one hitting it better on the range that day 😁

It would interesting to see the Hojgaards as a foursomes pairing though. They'd have to be as close as you can get to being on the same wavelength, could be the best foursomes pairing of all time.

Lived and worked in UK for over 30 years....bit hard not to see Ryder Cup.......
Seve and Olly were awesome, but I could not tell you the last 4-5 Ryder Cups....
getting old sucks.
Hey you can’t blame me you set it up perfectly with your comment the other day 😂

Seve and Olly 12 points win from a possible 15! Bloody amazing record that!

Clarke/Westwood and Faldo/Woosnam next best for Europe with 6pts each as a pairing shows how good the Seve/Olly record really is.

Well guys I am prepared to be labeled traitor here in the colonies but once again I'm pulling for the European team. I just like the Euros better that the Americans. I usually struggle with this fact. However this year it's not even close. I guess my Scottish/Irish blood is to blame. Heck, even though he can show his backside on occasion, I like watching Tyrrell Hatton. On the other side, I cannot stand Cantlay or DeChambeau. I will watch some of the matches unless they conflict with college football.

What do your US friends say about your pro-Euro stance? Do you have to take some stick, or do you keep quiet about it?

Wallace playing well by the looks of it. Has he still got a chance? No one ever seems to talk him up despite him being quite high in the rankings.

To me the only question mark is Straka, pulled out of a play-off event and finished last, (by a margin), at East Lake - maybe he’s hurt? If so I’d replace with Wallace, otherwise you just go with the next 6, swapping Wallace for Rahm.

According to Paul McGinley on the latest skysports golf podcast, Straka has a personal issue that caused him to be distracted. Hopefully he can sort that out in the next couple of weeks for his own benefit, but also because he’s an important player for us, plays in the US every week, plays well and has won over there a few times as well.
