Scotland letting this slip now. Pity as the score does not reflect the game.

Really expected Italy to beat Wales yesterday but just one performance too far.

England were awful, look out of shape. A few players are in for a shock when Aled arrives at the end of the season. Will judge the team once Borthwich has been able to pick his own squad (he is stuck with EJ pick of an elite squad at the moment). I can see George Ford back in the 10 shirt soon. Slade was awful yesterday so that is one to look at, so was Sinkler. Maybe time for the aging Polar Bear to start. Dombrandt also not shown his club form.

Borthwick is not afraid to make big calls so can expect a post 6 Nations cull.

At least Tigers taking 5 points off Gloucester has cheered up a fairly depressing rugby weekend.

Huw Jones?? Doesn't sound very South African!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::whistle:

Another one Wales missed?
Actually a pretty interesting story. He was educated in the UK but then went to work as a teacher in South Africa. While there he played amateur rugby. University rugby there is sort of semi pro - they play a televised tournament called the varsity cup. He was encouraged to enrol at the university of Cape Town and played in their team. From there he was recruited into the Stormers. One of the Scottish coaches was bored on a Saturday morning and watching superrugby on TV and saw a guys name come up with the Scottish flag next it and invited him to join Glasgow.

Not quite, he was spotted by the Scotland analyst Gavin Vaughan, who watches a lot of rugby all over the world as part of his job and yes spotted he was Scottish as you highlight. He was then invited into the Scotland training squad and was subsequently capped and had a fantastic first spell as a Scotland international playing Super Rugby. He was then given a contract offer to come to Glasgow or Edinburgh and joined Glasgow after the end of the Currie Cup. He was born in Edinburgh so is qualified to play for Scotland by birth.

Yup. A real shame. And you can see why he's given the red, but at full speed there's zero time. Second half will be one way traffic, sadly.
He has run into Steward who turns to protect himself in the split second he has to think - it looks bad in slow mo not not sure what else he could do.

That red has just about seen me done with rugby. It's a physical sport and therein is some of its beauty. Huge men going hammer and tong at each other. Just can't play it that way anymore.

Well that’s a high tackle on Watson just before they scored
Yes, a seatbelt tackle. Plus the ignored the head on head from the Irish tackler on Ludlum no more than 1 minute into the second half, and followed that with letting the Irish back row come round the side unpunished.
Ireland deserved the Slam no arguements, but the referring was abysmal and so obviosuly biased towards the Irish.

Every time I see him ref he reminds me of Steve Walsh - needing to find a way to be in the highlights

Even the yellow for Willis - same tackle in the Wales/France game was just a penalty
