Hi all,

Just a quick post to tell you about the round of my life. I played a friendly with my buddy today and the stars aligned, 85 shots (par 72) 42 points. Highlights were a birdie on the 1st (until my mate did the same) and a par on the last. I had no idea of my score and just stayed in control for 18 holes. Maybe my 1st card ever with no 7 on it.

I know it’s not a competition or even a cut but it is vindication for all my hard work. I am ecstatic, mind blown, walking on air and am going to take the Mrs out for dinner.

well done mate, just dont do what i always do and stand on the tee next time and think about the last round coz it always ends in disaster, just keep up the good work and take each shot as it comes but enjoy your moment you deserved it ;)

good shooting mate! i'm looking forward to the day i tell all you guys that i've had a good score but i'm undergoing some extreme re-construcion that i think will take all season :(

Alex, Nice to hear its coming together, well played mate,(i knew that 56 vokey would do the trick LOL.....)

It might be the best club in my bag..... no fooling. :o :D

Yeah, nice shooting Alex!

I'm sure the fact that you stayed in the zone and concentrated on each shot, and not worrying about the score helped a lot. I never think about my cumulative score, and always tell my mates marking my card not to tell me the score after 9 holes. It's often a nice surprise at the end - but I have to add, not often enough! :)

Golfmmad.

And the best bit is, the boost your confidence has taken. Good stuff. Great scoring.

There is a lesson there for everyone and thats, stay in the present!

nice one Alex i dont feel too bad about taking your driver of you now !!!!
