Damn, I should have waited, sorry! I'm cursed with indecision over stuff like and suffer paralysis through analysis and never end up making a choice, so when a set popped up local-ish I just went and got them:

John Letters T8+ iron/hybrid set
Graphite shafted 3H and 4H, basically unused
5-SW, steel shaft, hardly used

John Letters TP Series 56° wedge
John Letters Silver Swan Elegance putter (looks unused)
Brand new Letters Golf Torrance stand bag w/tags

All for £50..!

No worries at all. That looks like a starter set but not sure. The nature of golf is that if you get the bug you'll start blaming your equipment and so will be looking to upgrade soon anyway!

Get saving for the next set already!

Ahh, I'm getting buyer's remorse already! I saw them reviewed as "game improvement" irons for a mid- to high-handicapper so thought that wouldn't be far off the mark. I'm sure I'll find out when I take them to the range anyway. Just need a driver and 3 wood of the same sort of level and I'm set..

Really appreciate everyone's input, thanks!
