Red Cards...

No it isn't!

The normal ban for a straight red is ONE GAME.

In England, as of 2008, if a direct red card is shown, then the player in question is dismissed from the field immediately and normally faces a one-, two- or three-match ban depending on the offence, which exceeds the FIFA minimum.

3 games is the norm for 2yellows then red is it not?
Nope, one match.

No arguments from that, I'm just putting the myth that a straight red = automatic three match ban to rest.

The fact of the matter is that the ref should have shown the red card ............................ to Ramires!
He deliberately caught the keeper with his foot in order to con the ref into awarding a penalty. Therefore he deliberately kicked, (albeit reasonably gently), the Arsenal keeper with the only intention being to strike the keeper in order to validate his spurious claim for a penalty.
A deliberate kick to an opponent, no matter how softly, must be deemed violent conduct and therefore should attract the red card.
Just an opinion.

Slime.
