Recommend Me Some Lightweight Shoes

I know that the sun has hardly been beating down but I did managed to get 9 holes in today in some decent tempertures and noticed how hot and uncomfortable my feet were getting. Decision made, I need some nice. lightweight, breathable shoes that can come out on those few days when the weather is decent. I am not quite ready for the leap to the canvas type shoes with dimples instead of spikes, I still want something that remains a 'normal' golf shoe. The Adizero springs to mind but I have not had a great history with Adidas shoes (also what is the difference between the normal ones and the tour ones) but happy to consider any option.

Going to have to travel or buy online as the pro shop selection i limited and it is a 30 plus mile trip to an AG or DG so want to do some research first.

So, what does anyone suggest

I'm not sure I understand this point - are you against lightweight shoes or dimples? and why?

The original Ecco streets are not that light, they have dimples, but they are superbly made leather shoes that are both comfortable and grip amazingly including damp/wet conditions as long as there is grass to be gripped (they also press divots back really easily!)

FJ AQL are, as already said, a good all round lighter shoe.

Whilst I haven't played either the Adizero or the new Ecco Biom they would seem, on paper, to meet your stated needs.

No tangible reason, just not really liked the look (nothing against them, just me). Perhaps I would like them if I saw and tried them on but having nothing other than a few pro shops around me (none that big or well stocked) I am limited to what I can see easily. May be worth the 60 mile round trip to have a look at some other options.

Bought a pair of these pumas recently, they are light without being as light as some that are on the market but very comfy out of the box. I also have a pair of Nikes that look like canvas trainers which are feather light, only tend to use them for practising or with shorts mainly

Just seen those Pumas in white and orange and they look pretty nice. On sale as well, that always helps.
 
Adizeros are dead light but not everyone's cup of tee, I liked them.

FJ M project were also light, I liked them but thought them quite wide (that's the design though)

there is a huge difference between a 'normal' heeled shoe and a flat - this difference applies to just about everything from feel, flex and grip. You really have to experience it to appreciate it (or establish you don't like it!)
 
I've recently bought some Ecco Bioms and up to now I'm pretty impressed. Theyre quite sturdy for a trainer, they grip really well considering they have dimples and not spikes,but most of all they're unbelievably comfortable.
If the dimpled sole is still in a good condition at the end of the season I'll be really impressed. As nice as they are though I can't see them lasting as long as my last pair of AQLs, and the Eccos cost twice as much.
 
I have the Tour's and I take it by "normal" you mean the 6 Spike?

As far as I am aware both use the same Sprintskin upper. Only seen them and haven't tried them on
