Not sure that they are blaming the hoodies.
Lets face it Harrington probably made a monumental error in not having his team wear hoodies. They could have cut out all the noise and distractions and allowed his team to play golf.
We would almost certainly have won if we were wearing hoodies.
Maybe we should go a step further at next away Ryder cup and introduce Niqab for the team.

They didn’t blame the hoodies. They blamed the *** attitude of both some players and some fans.
The hoodie was just a descriptive for yob

That piece typifies what I have said for a long time. Don’t blame the person that has written it, the person who’s idea it was, don’t blame the person who has an idea. Blame the plank who seconds those thoughts, ideas or in this case written rammel. At that point it has gathered momentum. It is shocking to tie in hoodies with village idiots on a golf course. These bloody idiots were here before hoodies so how do GM get round that.
Either someone or someone’s at GM are thick or the link with hoodies and planks has had the desired effect of reading a piece that otherwise may not of been read.

To borrow the tone of the article:
If the author looks back on that article in 10 years’ time and thinks fair enough, then fine, but you’d think that it won’t age too well in his head.
