The managers and players have to pay back the 'loans' though.
That could be fun.
Dodger It has nothing to do with allegations of cheating?
Where does today's result leave "The Financial doping for players they can't afford"
Also re the side letters, SPL rules states that all contracted payments must be registered with them, but todays FTT ruling clearly states the payments were loans and non-contractual. Therefore they don't have to be registered with the SPL under there current rules
I will say that today's result is not part of the SPL investigation but it does not give the SPL much room to move on this
As for the EBT's the FTT states they are loans and can be repaid (as are all EBT schemes) but a company that finances the scheme never really asks for them to be repaid. In this case it could well be different as the the liquidators are now in charge and have the power to ask for them to be repaid to pay off the creditors. Despite what has been stated earlier that they have to repaid no decision has been made yet by the liquidators
manky ? this is why threads are being stoppedYou would say- It's no up to you.either way it's been fantastic fun laughing hugely at your manky lot.
What chance did we have tonight when all the officials were from Hungary?
Only seen the highlights and it looked to be back to the usual slow start away from home again.
You were right in saying we went through all this for what. If we had the results six months ago there probably would have been other buyers or Murray might not have even sold.
One funny thing is that if Whyte paid tax he would be sitting on cash pile worth much more than the few million he syphoned away and tax he didnt pay
PLEASE....just let go..
Murray appears to have shat it and jumped ship 100% certain that the outcome was a loss.Joking aside Stuart it has been one sorry mess from start to finish and a lot of questions remain unanswered....
Mr Grey confirmed that the Scottish Football Association requires disclosure of the terms of a footballer's contract but that does not extend, as he understands, to payments from the remuneration trust. While payments from the player's Club must be disclosed, including benefits in kind such as cars and accommodation, benefits from Third Parties, such as a sports company, need not. However, there is no formal SFA ruling in respect of remuneration trust benefits."
Stuart im of the belief that this big tax case had no bearing on why Murray sold up or why Whyte did what he did.
Kind of agree with you there mate as Murray had been looking to sell for a while but the BTC made made the club unsellable to most potential buyers with any amount of sense.
Once the potential liability figure was delivered by HMRC the only type of buyer interested was one like Wyte.
Agree the BTC had no bearing on Whyte. He done what he has always done.
