Range prices

local muni is £5 for 100. look like they've been through a lawn mower. rubber mat in a field. footpath at the bottom. no woods/long irons allowed. only if time is limited cos its quickest to get to on the bus.

local range and 9-hole, 24 or so bays. £3 for 40, £4 for 80 or £5.50 for 120 and with power tee. cafe (wouldn't call it a restaurant) is ok. £7 for 120 balls/ 9 holes, tea, bacon roll before 10. balls are ok. often the odd normal one in there which if i'm honest goes in the bag.

local posh course about the same price as above, massive pro shop (4000 sq ft). good balls. a little further and a bit more 'stuffy' than the other decent range nearby due to the expensive club it's attached to.

You should try Bird Hills, good range, think its 4 quid for 100 balls, could be wrong though, been a while since I've been up there. Oh plus theyve got an AG store there and Wednesday nights they have Salsa classes in the hall, so lots of lovely ladies about ;)

They've put the prices up. £2 for something like 25 balls. I use AG quite a lot to demo various clubs. They've new mats at the range but the balls are still crap especially at that price.

I used the range at Trafford park a couple of months back on visiting the father inlaw! Nice and tend to agree about auto tees in the tendancy to whack away! My local range is £3.50 for 50 and £6 for 100. Floodlights, heaters plenty of targets good shop, friendly staff though the balls are pants. Just had a Groupon for one in Coalville £11 for 1000 balls, range was ok but matts were worn, hate trying to get set up and your feet sink into the worn dips!! good srixon range balls though!

We have a range at the course, good mats, some auto tee boxes. Members pay 8 quid and change for a card with 5 tips of 40 balls, decent balls too.
