An aside:
Some years back I had our boarding passes downloaded to my phone. I felt pretty cool for a 70's+
Anyhow, our flight was delayed by an hour or so.
When we joined the boarding queue I remarked to my wife "Look how many people in this queue are clutching A4 paper sheets of their boarding pass when all they have to do is load them onto their phone".
We had priority boarding. When we were asked for our boarding pass I called it up to find a screen message "Your flight has already departed".
After a lengthy conversation we were asked to step aside and were eventually allowed to board last.
I am now firmly a belt and braces man
