Random Irritations

I’ve sold a few bits on Facebook market place including some golf stuff in the past. I’m actually waiting int his morning for someone to come collect a bike carrier I’ve sold on there. But you can buy some real dodgy crap on their, I’ve also banned family from golf presents in general unless it’s something they know I want.
We have agreed if it’s something I want then I’ll either go with them or they give me the money.

This for me is why Vinted is the way forward even selling clubs. It’s the buyer who selects their delivery provider and they pay a nominal insurance fee for delivery. It’s protects both the buyer and seller, we’ve had a parcel go missing with Evri the buyer got their moment back and we go our money for the sold item.
I've had a quick look on Vinted. The problem I found was that the filters are set up for clothing, not golf clubs. Trying to find the key details, right shaft (ie regular, stiff etc, nothing fancy), loft etc is not possible. You then have to trawl through each post, just in case. It's hard work.

This is compulsory. The amount of non-golfers who apparently think ball-finding glasses or a leather pouch that holds 3 balls and sits on your belt are actually useful is staggering.
My Mrs step mum bought me some of those glasses once. Hideous blue things, absolutely massive, I genuinely don’t know why people are stupid enough to buy the tat and think we’ll use it.

I think it was somebody on here that introduced me to diatomaceous earth. It’s a natural, food grade, non-toxic powder that’s used in various products and costs a few quid for a big bag on Amazon.
Spread it around wherever the cracks are outside that you see the ants. Spread it around where they’re getting into your house. They’ll be gone in 24 hours.
If you ever get a fungus gnat infestation of an overwatered houseplant, spread it across the surface of the compost.
It kills any creepy crawly pests that have an exoskeleton. It’s truly miraculous stuff.
You can also use it on chickens to keep mites at bay 👍

There’s loads of clubs on there for sale across all brands.

You set the price can reject bids easily and every package is covered with insurance protection. Sometimes may take a few days to sell but I like that protection element and you can’t sell fakes.
I have bought a lot from both Ebay and Vinted I the past 5 months , I find that you are less likely to snag a bargain on clubs on Vinted but the clothes are often really good.
There is a bundle feature on Vinted where if a seller has more than one thing you fancy you can buy them at the same time save postage and sometimes get discounts too

The weather getting colder again 🤬
Played Tuesday wearing a golf "fleece" over a t-shirt. Had to cut out a few holes as I was sweltering. Couldn't remove fleece as I'd be wearing a Tshirt.
Played Thursday in short sleeved polo. Eventually donned waterproof jacket and cut out a few holes being cold and, eventually, very damp.
🥵🥶

So, if I’ve read this correctly, on Tuesday you took some scissors out on the course, and when you started to get a bit warm, you cut some holes out of your fleece to cool down and it was so successful that you repeated it on Thursday with your waterproof jacket when you got a bit cold and damp. I think I understand how it went wrong on Thursday. 😀

Let me start again......

In the shower this morning, I wet shave with a eucalyptus shaving oil from a squirty dispenser.

Squirted some into my hand and it rebounded straight into my right eye

Owww bloody flippin chuffin owwww

Happy Saturday folks 🙄

This is a bit random I know but if this isn’t the place to air it then where is?

Bench seating in restaurants. This has become more and more popular in restaurant interior design and I am fine with the concept and I like dining in a ‘booth’ as they say in the US.

However, quite often the seating height on the bench seat (when one of you has that and the other is on a chair) is markedly lower than the chair height. Why? Surely they need to be the same if not one, by definition, is either too high or too low. Simply poor design.
