Hope they didn’t charge you.

The concern is that if you have work underway—like roof repairs—and a major incident occurs before the job is finished and paid for (for example, a fire not caused by the roofing company), the work may need to be done again. In that situation, you could end up paying for it twice, while your insurance may only cover it once.

Btw, I've never been involved in the insurance business but believe this to be true.

Having our roof replaced. Scaffolding and equipment everywhere. I hope the weather is kind so this gets sorted within a reasonable time.

Had ours done last year and thankful we had done so given the winds last night, think the old one would have been in next doors garden today

I worked for the organisation that provides my home insurance, although I didn't work in that division. I didn't get charged...

I think that it might be a case of let them know and there may/may not be a small charge. Don't tell them and it might be a reason to dismiss your claim of the worst happened.

For the same reason I don't tell them I have a burglar alarm. If I did and have a claim and hadn't set it or had it regularly serviced, then it could give them an excuse to reject any claim.

There is something I have to do for work between 00.00-06.00 every Monday morning.
It’s literally ticking a couple of boxes and normally takes at most 5 minutes.

I wasn’t feeling great last night so went to bed early and set my alarm for this morning at 05.00
Got up done my work and couple of other bits.
One of the guys from work just called me to ask why I had done the verification, I then realised it’s a bank holiday and when they come round I have to do it on the Tuesday.
I am randomly irritated by myself and been up since 05.00 for no reason and now had to undo the bit of work I had done and do it again tonight/tomorrow morning.

Forgetting my cards to pay in Tesco again, I decided to add a card to my phone, you never forget that. Google says I already have one, but that's another issue. I added one. On the way walking to our butchers is forgot my wallet, no probs I have my phone with a card on. Told me butcher id never used it before, don't worry we will talk you through it. Did it work? Did it nutz. He knows me so let me take the stuff. Got home, and after an hour of searching the net and messing with my phone, it transpires my phone does not have NFC. So why does it let me add a bloooming card !!!!!?
