Just discovered the football is on the same night as I am taking Junior Squirrel 1 to an event at the Coop Arena Manchester, so all local parking closed and it will be rammed. Now have no idea where to park or how to get there.

If Man City are playing, it’s probably not going to be that busy

What annoys me about my neighbours cat in my garden is that despite many attempts he has still failed to catch the rat that also visits my garden.

Our new VW works van. 1st time driving it today. Why does every operation have to be done via the touch screen? Just trying to operate the ventilation system is a joke. Not surprised people have accidents if they are looking at that instead of at the road ahead.

Thus providing plenty of time for said cat to perform their ablutions

Also the current avian flu regs say that all poultry needs to be in covered housing at all times until the rule is lifted

A neighbour of ours placed plastic bottles nearly full of water around her front garden and it stopped our cat going there for a poo. Something to do with the cats not liking the light reflecting off the water I think.

I've seen this in gardens on our estate. I'd forgotten about it. Good shout

Have a look at a site called YourParkingSpace, it shows people who rent their driveways out. I've used it loads for football away days.

Another one is just park. Have used it a fair few times and never had any troubles. Not a problem to cancel but your refund is held on your account to use for your next parking booking.

Keep a loaded Super Soaker by the back door. Only takes a few near misses or a partial strike and it will give your garden a miss.
Have tried lemon, cayenne pepper, rosebush cuttings in strategic places; none of them worked.

when we lived down south i had these green boxes that ammited a beam and a high frequency sound that deterred cats, it really worked far better than anything else. now we have to mad pointers that hate cats, they come in out garden at their peril.

I always park at Hancocks cash and carry, it’s probably a 10 min walk to the stadium, but it is excellent for getting away from the stadium after the game. If you do park there, tell them what event you are going to to make sure it is still open. Usually close an hour after football.
