Went to the dentist this morning and when I got there, went to the reception to book in as usual. The receptionist took my name, looked at the computer that was right in front of her and then asked me to book in on the tablet on the counter. What a waste of my time to book in and a waste of money buying the extra tablets (2 on the counter, 1 for each receptionist) when the staff member just had to click a button on the screen she had open in front of her. And they call it progress!

Really don’t see the issue, it’s how a lot of companies get people to sign in these days.
In fact I’d be impressed if my dentist surgery took this step of modernising the signing in procedure

and finally a phone call to Peugeot themselves (who were excellent)
Just to confirm I will still have roadside assistance cover after March when the car will be over 3 years old.

My good lady wife has arranged for us to go out for dinner with two other couples, in the village pub at the weekend.

100% agree
The DPWT can do it, LPGA (mostly) do it, but the richest tour can't afford a wee fella to splice 10mins of highlights without showing stuff well out of its chronological order
Wouldn't be so bad if it was just a hole out between groups etc but often it jumps back/forward by several holes

Today I was tasked with escorting a contractor round one of the accommodation blocks on camp to do legionella testing. They have to have a proper grown up chaperone them incase of females in blocks or entering rooms that are vacant due to deployed personal and prevent any thefts, that’s not my irritation as it meant an easy afternoon for me.

My irritation was walking into one of the juniors rooms and instantly being hit with a wave of a smell so nauseating I nearly saw my lunch again. His bin was over flowing with half eaten food, his floor was barely visible under the amount of crap and rubbish left sprawled over it, his fridge smell like an abattoir and his bathroom well don’t get me started on what was all over the place in there. To make matters worse this “lad” deployed last week for a 3 month period! So if we hadn’t been doing those checks today god knows what it would have been like. I have no idea how long he’s been living like that but I was ashamed to be there with the contractor!

Even more irritating now I have to put a team of cleaners (poor sods getting a crap job just because they’re still here) to sort his hovel out in the name of health and hygiene. You can guarantee he will be getting dealt with upon his return!!

Finding a great big rusty nail stuck out of the side wall of a tyre. Cue new tyre! Luckily the tyre place was able to fit me in albeit with a wait of about an hour. They even washed my car afterwards so we will be going there now whenever we need tyres.

Also had to buy a new phone charger as my other one had died. Luckily had enough charge on my phone to pay for the tyre!

I hit a pot hole once burst the tyre got a new one £185 later.

Every unit seemed to have one person who lived in a pigsty. In the ‘bad old days’ his teammates sorted him out with a bass broom and scouring powder. I’m not advocating this approach, but as a NCO, we only got to hear of it after the event.

Works perfectly fine away from home but get home and it doesn't recognise I'm home and not driving anymore.
Seems it's a common problem
