Random Irritations

I’ve monitored the comments all afternoon (still got the lurgy) and although a couple of comments got close to commenting on policies, Forumites have been careful.
I refer you to this previous post:

I am in no way suggesting that Trump is anything other than an unhinged megalomaniac, but there does seem to be some relaxation of the rules when he is the subject.

I’m not a mod, so don’t listen to me.

Ah right. I took your response to mean that a mod had told you that.

Perhaps the mods should give the forum some clarification about exactly what kind of posts are deemed political. Because the boundaries seem to have become a bit vague when you-know-who is mentioned.

R1 is current music, aimed at a youth market. In old terms, chart music and the like.
R2 was 40+ but I'd say they have re-aligned to try and catch the 30+ market (losing a decent number of 50+ people in the process)
R3 is classical music
R4 is spoken word, news, discussion, plays, quiz shows etc. Seen by some as a bit highbrow
Ahem, you missed out R6 which plays some truly amazing music, no chart hits to be seen here 👌

Who? Voldemort? 😬
Take a chill pill , the mods have got it spot on in my opinion.
It’s already a thankless task without having to justify everything they do.

People on here know where the line is drawn regarding political posts and I’m yet to see it crossed

Why should any guidance be required? I thought everyone here was intelligent enough to work this one out for themselves.

Donald Trump’s reprehensible comments about troops from other countries hiding behind Americans rather than getting stuck in have absolutely nothing to do with his political leanings. Nothing whatsoever. They are simply the ramblings of an imbecile.

It is perfectly possible for a politician to pass comment on a subject without it being inherently political, and that is the case here. As mods we do try and apply a little common sense at times like this.

Surely it’s not too much to expect grown adults to try and do likewise?
