Random Irritations

Well Just to detract from the school irritation. Had to go back to the Docs as was told after 48hrs, my blood pressure is through the roof and lungs are in actual clip. I’ve been put on an inhaler 4 x a day and I’m struggling badly to even take a pee standing up without being short of breath 😒

For someone whose always fit, healthy and in the gym those symptoms couldn’t be further from normal for me, more isolation for another 48hrs unable to work, exercise and feel human isn’t helping my irritability with pretty much anything 😂

God I’m bored !

Have you been told what's actually wroing with you?
What have you been diagnosed with?

Oh, and get better soon. (y)

Nope not been told what’s wrong with other than it’s not bacterial so no need for anti biotics but if I have to use the inhaler more than 4 times go back for further investigation before the 48hrs 🤷🏼
Sounds like it could be man flu - that is proper dangerous!

And it will be treated by the military medics with tubigrip and Brufen - same as any other illness/injury :)
To be fair Man Flu is dangerous 😂
For once in my life I’m happy to actually admit to being properly ill. I’ve never had blood pressure issues or dodgy lungs!

You’re not wrong about the treatment got the standard prescription paracetamol and don’t die but if you do make Sure you’re rooms tidy and packed do the next tenant 😂

Blimey... that doesn't sound good. The lurgy I had is into its third week.. although much improved on last week. Might even play golf at the weekend if the trend continues!

School trips?? I passed a scholarship to go to the local private school and came from a less monied background. The school trips cost more than my dads car, I used to bin the leaflets before I left the class room and didn't mention them at home. :D I had a compulsory Geography A Level field trip to Nettlecombe Court in Devon, summer of 81. Thankfully it was in dormitories and not very expensive. It was the only trip I ever did.

Looking back, it didn't do much for my class-cred, but it taught me plenty about the value of stuff and how lucky I really was.

Bin men. Do they deliberately leave the bins perfectly blocking your empty driveway so you have to leave the car in the road while you move them or is it by chance? I feel like it must take more effort to position them like that than it would to leave them at the side.

NHS geriatric service - or lack of. Dad’s 93, has dementia, lives in a care home and can’t get in and out of a car because of his frailty. He ended up in hospital last week for 24 hours. In the next 2 weeks he has appointments at separate hospitals on different days for investigative procedures. Both of which could be done at the same hospital or could have been done while he was with them last week.
So now we have to spend 2 separate days waiting for and sitting on patient transport and waiting around hospitals. It’s very stressful and confusing for him. I thought they were sorting out geriatric services to make the care a bit more joined up.

Angry white van drivers with short man syndrome.

I just drove up the road, I was looking for somewhere to park in front of the shops so I slowed down a little, saw a space at the end, so I indicated and pulled up to parallel park. White van right stops right up the back of me so I can't park and starts beeping. Then he overtakes and parks further down and gets out of his van and starts marching down towards me. I wound down my window to hear what he had to say even though I shouldn't have bothered. Basically he's fuming and says I should have indicated sooner and that I need to take my test again. I said, "sorry I cost you an extra second of your day and thanks for the advice, bye now". Then he asks am I going to get out the car. 'Why?' He then threatens me with violence, so funnily enough, I don't get out of the car, I just stare at him in disbelief until he leaves.

I wonder which part of his driving lessons taught him it was good practice to park up to go and abuse someone, yet it's me who needs to retake my test apparently? I took a photo of his number plate as he left, in some vain hope I'd be able to report him, but on reflection I have no idea who I'd report him to and it would just be my word with no evidence, so, meh. I can't understand how people get so angry over the minutest of things.

Covid or Super Flu?
My eldest daughters hubby has just return back to work today, having been off since last day of November. He ended up in A&E Christmas evening, looking like death unwarmed up.We thought it might be pneumonia, but no the Super flu. They gave him the strongest antibiotic they can without being intravenus, and since then has been very slowly getting over it.
For context, he's South African, and this is the first time he's ever been off sick (and signed off) from work.

I wouldn’t say superflu as Dr has said whatever it is they don’t believe Anti biotics will touch it and would just give me a dodgy stomach. Covid who knows I had it before and never felt like this certainly it never touched my blood pressure.

In over 20 odd years of being in the job only ever been off sick like this once and that was to have hernia surgery in 2003! This is kicking my ass!

Agree it is irritating but, at the end of it all, no damage and no-one was hurt. Just rise above it and let it go, reporting it would be pointless and just lead to more stress, etc.

He needed antibiotics as his lungs were struggling to cope. They must have been needed as they made a difference and has enabled him to slowly get better and return to work today.

No.

Well, yeah. Nothing I can do now. Just annoying that there are people who conduct themselves like that and get away with it daily.
