Random Irritations

BMW.
I've used an indie for servicing for years rather than getting fleeced by the main dealer. The indie pays BMW for the privilege of updating the cloud service records as there's no physical service book anymore.
Most of the time the record isn't fully downloaded to the car's electronic service record from the BMW servers.
With future cars I'm just going to buy a book and get the garage to update and stamp it. Another example of technology making life harder not easier.

Trying to renew my Virgin Media contract. Out of nowhere, the price of the contract went up 70%.... messaging them, and they came back with
" we have an excellent contract, only £116 for the next 24 months..... with a price increase in April 2026".

can someone explain how can it be a contract for 24 months if the price will increase in 8 months.???

I've got everything with Virgin for £75 per month, no reason it should be any different. Tell them to shove it.

WoW!!!!... this is the best they could do.. besides all the sky sports, movies, netflix... one of my key need is a 1G broadband. bumps up prices down south.
also they know that in our area, VM is the only good broadband provider

All Telecoms companies, via legislation, have a fixed price increase in April of each year which is set at 3.9% PLUS the February RPI rate. (My memory may have got the % wrong...I've been retired 9 months so am going by what i remember)

Basically they get away with what Ofcom allow them to.

But your point still stands.

i figured that one... so had to sign a rewnewal as a way to reduce my cost to 116.

I wnt my boss to meet me in April and say, i know you did not ask for it, but here is a 4% raise.. just keep doing what you do.. no change

Feel like I’ve been hit by a train today! Both physically and mentally exhausted, I’ve done nothing different to normal, slept pretty well but my body feels like it’s been battered, every part of me aches and I feel tired beyond belief.

Haven’t got the energy to train, definitely don’t have the energy to go hit balls and can’t even summon the energy to make food but need to eat. Gonna have something quick and get myself dosed up to watch the football in bed, hopefully pass out and wake up tomorrow feeling better

The family are currently on holiday in the South West. A stunning rental holiday home with great coastal views. Cost a blooming fortune.
So what’s to complain about….
Toilet Rolls….
We were left 4 to last the week 🫣

You have to drive to the nearest shop too.

They'll last a lot longer if you use both sides.
