Had a dog with cats many times for a good number of years. Never had any issues. It’s always been a puppy being introduced to adult cats. We got a dog gate. Dog got the run of part of the house, and the cats had areas they could go to without being pestered by a boisterous puppy.

The gate was removed after a few days and we never had the need to reintroduce it. That said, the cats were always the boss. Equally, you’d often find the cats curled up with the dog.

A friend suggested that our cat would probably attack and kill a puppy if we brought one into the house. It’s not a risk I’m willing to take tbh.
 
The work colleague I had a moan about the other day, he got admitted into hospital on Monday night with a suspected stroke, we found out earlier he’s been diagnosed with a brain tumour 😕
He also had a seizure the other day so I’m pretty certain he won’t be able to to drive for at least 12 months.
Even if it’s a low grade tumour and no further treatment is required he won’t be able to do his job for a long long time. Does anyone know what his rights are as an employee?
Gutted for the lad.

That’s just awful and probably an explanation for his behaviour.
His health comes first and hopefully his employer will be supportive.

I would assume he's entitled to a pre set amount of sick leave , before goin onto basic sick.
I don't know the full legals, but it seems to me to be emplyer dependant on how much they give or allow.

Very much dependent on his contract. There will be some protection there but ultimately the person has to be capable of working or show that they will be returning within an acceptable period of time. The company needs the work to be done, they have to be protected as well.

As someone has said, this might explain some of his behaviour. Brains are sensitive things, scary stuff.

Is he in any form of union? They are the first point of call because they give excellent advise and will know the process and make sure it's followed to a tee.
