Random Irritations

And the fact shes chosen to continue living with him is also sad but is it also an indication of the control he exerts?

Totally agree. And sadly it’s all too common.

When young in service I went to a domestic involving a couple, the man being a nasty piece of work who’d hit his girlfriend any number of times. This time he had properly battered her to the point where her face was barely recognisable. She had at least one fractured cheekbone.

He was arrested, processed and charged. The girlfriend subsequently withdrew the complaint (again), this being long before the days when the CPS pursued what are known as victimless prosecutions, and a few months later they were married.

Suffice to say the marriage didn’t last.

I have worked on a big project for the last year and now, with the end in sight I have been pulled to work on another project. The original work was done to a very compressed timescale (approx 18 months instead of 4-5 years) and I had been working my part on my own and would have liked to have been given the chance to see it through. What makes it worse is the new project isn't on contract yet and not due to deliver for another 4 years or so. Not entirely sure what the rush is to get me on the new job - but at least it is nice to be in demand.

I just don't understand how anyone can think a person like that would change and that their life would somehow be worse if they left.

A friend was in an abusive relationship but eventually she left him and started seeing someone else. You've guessed it - he turned out little better than her 1st partner. We could see it in him from the outset but unfortunately she couldn't.

out on my gravel bike on Tuesday, cutting back along the side of lock ness, went over a cattle grid on a sharp right turn out of a trail, which is followed by a sharp left turn onto and other trail. punctured and the tire rolled off. kept control but fillet the wheel with gravel and slipped the wheel lining. then spent almost an hour trying to change the puncture. first of all i couldnt get the liner back on then the wheel kept filling with fine gravel. then realised the the inner tube was too thin for the 50mm tire i have on at the moment.

What I bought was labelled as

The bulb was actually
https://www.thompson-morgan.com/p/narcissus-jetfire/24205TM ( I have already got loads of these)

Note not bought as Thompson Morgan just an easy reference for the photo
Can see how that is annoying. HID is the gardener (and bloody marvellous at it) and she also gets ticked off if it isn't as requested. Can't see it being a high demand industry so a lacl of care with the company involved. Thompson MOrgan have always been very good as have Suttons Seeds

Yes. Next time I might buy them from T M instead of unbranded. Not been that happy with the new Plants Galore where bulbs are concerned, several total failures last summer whereas the ones I bought in the garden centre, branded Taylors, have all been great. On the other hand their plants in trays have been very good.

So for me birthday yesterday, on the trackman range and then to three garden centres. Bottom line some garden centres are very expensive compared to others for the same product.

I struggle to focus myself on the big long projects as the end goal is so far away, much prefer a shorter project over a few months.
