Random Irritations

The VW passat finally gave up the ghost today, rear break locked on and had to he towed back to Inverness. Guess I will finally have to buy a new car next week. ☹️ few other things wrong with it and I don't think it's worth spending thousands to get it back onnthe road. Can't really complain its done me 14 years and never really cost me much to service or keep on the road up till now.

It was a deliberate trap. That's the kind of person he is.
I was tempted to post straight after I saw the elaborate wording and realised it could be read two ways - 'This is a tarp!' - but I decided to see how it would play out. As expected in the end. TimShady is now on my ignore list.

The price of a bottle of water at airports.

Flew home from Zadar last night. It was 30 degrees when we got to the airport. Had to bin our bottles before going through security. Got to the other side, 7 euros for 2 small bottles. They weren't even cold. Total rip-off.

The sooner the nonsensical restrictions on carrying liquids are dropped, the better.

In-laws on holiday. Well the mother in law is fine. Brilliant lady.

The father in law my life. He lives on his phone (that's fine , that's just for context of how stupid this irritation is)

"I can't work out this coffee machine" (who would have thought the coffee machine in Spain would be in Spanish ...shocking behaviour )

Well you have your phone in your hand.. type into Google "what is the Spanish for ...." Amazing ..

It will be the exact same thing tomorrow

Old men on holiday abroad is generally an irritation. We went abroad with the in-laws twice. The second time I swore I would never do it again. That was 20 years ago, and I haven’t.

I’ve just spent a week in a beautiful hotel in Italy. The food was fantastic, typical Italian food (not British Italian), freshly made from ingredients mostly grown on site.

The number of grumpy old men who complained about it was irritating. They are probably the same problem who were sat to
