Random Irritations

I'm so bored. Work is just dull and has never once stimulated me mentally, just something I have to do. Can't do much out of the house other than running because the weather is so bad, summer holiday is miles off. Just doomscrolling the same 3 or 4 apps day after day.

I would agree with this and I do not work.
Went out for a longish (for me ) walk yesterday and ended up feeling it due to unacustomed exercise.

I'm not...working on being a kept man one day

Funnily enough, I have always been the main wage earner, through circumstances and necessity. My wife is 60 this month so her occupational pensions kick in and associated lump sums pay out.

We're getting our roof replaced next month, and she pipes up, "I'm paying for the roof, you've been paying for everything." Crikey, it's like getting a pay rise! :-)

Until she throws in the line, "whilst you're living under my roof (literally), you'll do as you're told."

The kids get all the treats I used to get before we were married now though :(

My understanding was about what they were actually charge with, with premeditation coming in to the argument and the not guilty verdict. I think I heard something about the guards over reacting in the first place and a plea of self defence being made.
If a child if mine went to a protest armed with a sledgehammer as a means of destruction (and used it on a person, animal or property), they'd fear my wife and I more than the law.

Not sure where to put this and it wouldn’t be on my radar as it’s not my cup of tea but I know there are quite a few who have and said they would holiday there - just a heads up.
Im going there at the end of May, though this time Sal (posisbly where the epicentre is) where in the past its been Boa Vista.
It is what it is. It's a third world country and I understand there got hit by a hurricane last year.
Im sure by the time we go things will have been sorted a lot more, but in anycase acohol sanitiser and wipes will be taken and used, just like my post Covid eating protocol now.

From what I read it’s more about what to eat and drink and what not to eat and drink as well as clean hands etc

I went last year and it did not tick many boxes, but I can understand why folk would like to go there.

Probably no more dangerous than your average cruise.

I’ve travelled quite a lot to the less glamorous parts of the Middle East and to the unpopular parts of Africa, the worst case of food poisoning I have ever had, by far, was caused by a sausage bap at Woodhall Spa. It’s not necessarily always the region.
True. it is amazing how much people drop their guard when on holiday - and not just with hygiene.

In my office they have the radio on, I don't know what station it is, but they play this song at least twice a day that goes "..where the hell is my husband" in the chorus. Utter rubbish it is.
Ok, well, today in the office someone has just put Ed Sheeran on instead. I'm sorry for what I said before, please take me back. 😞
