We are thinking of Cape Verde next summer after 10 years of Lanzarote. It is too busy now (Lanza) so looking for something different. I understand it's more of an adults only place? Next summer, my boys will be 16 & 18.

Where do you stay in Lanzarote? We have been on the edge of Costa Teguise for a few years, much nicer than the southern end.

It depends which island you go to, and which hotel. Sal is the main island, and I am going there next year for the first time. Up till now, I have always been to Boa Vista.
Jane Macdolnald did one of her holiday programs on Sal, and I will say it looks a lot busier than Boa Vista, which isnt hard.
The Rui Touareg on Boa Vista where we have stayed is being refurbed next year I have found out, but there are a couple of other hotels at the top of the island that have either been refurbed and look good or are new.
It all depends on what you want from a holiday. For me, I now just need to chill and rest. Masses of trips or activities aren't what I look for or want. 1 or 2 is fine.
I've spilt paint on my shorts at work, quite a bit. I'll try washing them later but I suspect they are done for. Very irritating as they a pair I really like.
I reckon I’m losing the plot. I read the first few words of the above as “I’ve split my pants……”
Think I need a lie down.

Not painting. We sell a specialist paint and a customer ordered a sample kit. I was measuring it out, the small tin slipped, dropped on the table and it splashed outWhy are you painting in your fave shorts ?

We go to Faro Park, the left of Playa Blanca, away from the main drag of Playa Blanca. I avoid Puerto del Carmen as that is too busy, too kiss-me-quick! We always have a hire car to explore the rest of island where it is so less busy. I like the vibe of Famara and the views & beach are stunning.

This is still irritating me as 7 days later I’m still waiting for my next day guaranteed Royal Mail delivery. Initially they said they couldn’t find my address, ironic considering the same driver delivered me part one of the parcel on the correct day, they’ve since said they’ve delivered it which I confirmed they in fact haven’t, they’ve then acknowledged there is no signature so know it hasn’t been delivered. Don’t seem to be able to confirm if it’s been returned to the company I bought it from or in fact know where it is at all. Fortunately I bought the items on credit card so it’s insured and can claim it back and having been in contact with the company that provided the item have offered to send another with a different courier.
But as for RM still no idea what’s going on or if it’ll ever show up

Weather alert came out just before lunchtime for a Terel wind this afternoon. Basically, it’s a wind that comes up from the Saraha full of red dust and with some force. Sure enough it arrived. Garden chairs waltzed around the terrace and the temp went from 30* to 35* in about 20 minutes. It only lasts for a few hours and then the wind and temperature drops. Unfortunately so does the red dust.
It was great fun sweeping the terrace in 30* of heat.

Got a delivery dispatch note from vendor along with Parcel force tracking.... so clicked the link and looked up PF website... nothing. Finally it says they are now holding it in thier depot. Not sure what the point of the first tracking is if they cant track till end of day.

There is a nice little lake near me. Loads of wildlife and just a nice spot to have a wander or maybe a picnic.
Some kids yesterday have killed a swan. According to eye witnesses they threw stones and sticks at the bird and then kicked and stamped on it until it died.
Not only is that atrocious but why didn’t the eyewitness stop them?

When I rang them or should I say one of them may times I’ve rang them. They’re told me they can’t live track their parcels that are out with drivers! I find that very odd considering they can track the vehicle and even Amazon can tell me how many stops away a driver is that’s delivery some deodorant I’ve ordered online!!

I think DPD can show you a map of where the vehicle is and how many stops before yours.
