Random Irritations

I don’t have any electric points in the bathroom.
I live in a house, not a hotel. 😆
Having one in the bathroom is something I miss.
Last house had one this one does not.
The razor I keep in the car is USB charged. I do not have a mains socket in the car 😂

Can you go tubeless? I did and haven’t had a puncture in over a year now - highly recommended if you can.
I could, but I get though tyres, changing evey few months is a nightmare. I'm tube less on my fatbike, 5 years no punctures. But I had to change one when I first got it and what a pain that was getting the gunk off.

Yep. Too much of a faff for me.
I sometimes swap between road and gravel tyres, which would be a nightmare with all the gunk.
Maybe it's because I'm old, but the industry pushing it like crazy just makes me think that they're trying too hard.
Fingers crossed, I just don't get many punctures...

Why do tubeless tyres get less punctures than ones with tubes? Have they got self-sealing gunk in them? Have you considered tubes with that in them?

It’s called Slime. You get versions for both tubed and tubeless.

Lad’s bike has it in his inner tubes and since putting it in he’s had way less punctures. Still gets them but frequency is much lower.

i did not know you could put it in to innertubes, might have to try that.
I thought you could buy Slime innertubes with their gunk already in but not add it separately to regular innertubes?

I much prefer tubes less, the bike is lighter and no annoying thorn punctures that I always got with inner tubes. But if you are swapping tyres over it’s a faff….my Minion and Assegai stay on all year round

You can buy cans of slime that have a valve attachment for adding to existing tubes.

i do a lot of gravel chipped forestry paths, tend to be granite chips, they wear the tire an fair bit. my main puncture is tree roots and imbedded rocks, pinch punctures. main culprit is if i'm spinning at a lower speed.

Back when I did mountain biking, I used to ride tyres with pinch protection in the walls of the tyres. I also rode them at 40psi:)

VE Day and Tesco's.
They have been advertising on the radio they are giving 10% off to all defence card holders until the 11th...good for them.
At 12 noon today, the Tesco's on the South Circular didn't stop for the 2 minutes, just carried on serving customers and unloading the artic out front.

Bloody hell you must have been bouncing down the hills with that pressure 😳🤣
At my fittest, I was still 14st:)
I ran the tyre at that pressure on the Orange, running Pananracer Smoke and Darts, and the Marin full susser on Panaracer Fire XC Pro 2.1's:) They had the side wall snake bite protection and also made the tyre a tad stiffer which was very helpful to stop squirreling around corners and under breaking (Hope hydraulic C2 brakes)

Seriously impressive (frustrating)!
Do you know his make up?

We're used to dealing with a lot of shedding but not that much.

(Excuse for a picture)

White one was trimmed down (carrier bag full) before a vet visit - 'ooh he has lost some weight' ha ha, not really
Not a clue. He's a Romanian rescue so the only thing you can guarantee is that there will be chihuahua in there somewhere.
