The new MotoGP website and app. Another example of change for change sake. More difficult to find what I am looking for on the app, and the website is just not logging in. Very frustrating.

Society evolves. What was acceptable nearly 50yrs ago isn’t now. And our own metrics change too. I can remember enjoying Love thy neighbour 50+yrs ago. I got 5 mins into an episode last year = cringeworthy and embarrassing.

Sentencing for this case today. I just cannot comprehend the magnitude of what she has done, or why. Only words I have to describe her would probably see me blackballed.

I think any sane person would be unable to comprehend her actions. Like you I've tried to go to the "why" place but come up short. I can only think it's some sort of sense of power? The power of life or death...who knows. She's plain evil and should never be released from wherever they send her.

Lucy Letby will be remembered for being Evil. What has shocked me about this case furthermore is the systematic failure at many levels to stop her earlier.

Last week, we watched "The Good Nurse" about Charles Cullen, a killer nurse in the States. What came from this was how much multiple hospitals covered up the perpetrator and just moved him on, where he then continued his crimes at another hospital. One of the many concerning things about this is how much the hospital management were involved in covering it up and trying to shove it under the carpet, despite the numerous concerns being raised about hospital staff. They seem more concerned with protecting their reputation rather than protecting their patients.

As someone who became a parent to a perfect little baby this year, this story makes me feel sick to my core. I don't know how it's possible to look at a baby and do what she's done. How does your brain go that far wrong that you're beyond even being human?

Of course there are some that need to be held to account for their inactions, but likewise we view the NHS and nurses in particular with a reverence that perhaps we shouldn’t, considering the number of serial killers that have been in that profession.
That’s certainly an interesting take on the NHS. By any chance would you prefer privatised healthcare?
