I'm thinking of getting rid of my 3 hybrid as I just can't get on with it. Only use it off the tee as
I'm useless with it off the turf.

My mates got an old (2008) AP2 3 iron which I'm thinking of having, it's got PX 5.5 in it.

Will it play much different to X100? What will the flight be like?
Don't mind if its a bit higher in a 3 iron.

Somebody will probably correct me but my understanding is that the px5.5 is a mid-stiff whereas the x100 is an extra stiff shaft

Again someone will be better to advise

You're not far wrong kev, some would even argue that a PX5.5 isn't much stronger than a regular in a lot of other brands. The x100 is a very stiff shaft and the DG's give a lower flight as well so that AP2 isn't going to be the easiest club in the world to hit. Hope you are a big strong boy jeardley!

Sorry, should have been clearer. I play X100 4-w now.
The 3iron I've been offered has 5.5 in it...... It's a freebie so just being a bit tight :)

It will be a touch stiffer and lighter than S300.

In my hands that would be no bad thing, as it would stop me trying to muller it. In yours, who knows.
One thing I will add though is that I had AP2 irons and PX shafts felt very very nice in them. I think the only way you won't get on with it is if you really go after it.
