Professional Golf

A par was good enough to win, he bogeyed the hole, bad drive, missed the green with his 2nd (likely on purpose) bad chip, 2 putts.

What part of that is incorrect or an opinion, it’s a fact.

None if it, but it's not relevant to the point in that Scheffler was able to force an error out of Fitzpatrick with his 3rd shot.

I was happy to see Fitzpatrick prevail. As I've said before on this site, I'm kind of an expatriot when it comes to professional golf. I just like most of the international players better that our US guys. Also, I'm not a fan of the patrons shouting "USA,USA" at tournaments. I guess the way patrons behave at The Masters ha spoiled me. Obviously, the horse has left the barn on fan behavior at most events. I guess it's the same at DP World Tour events when US players play abroad. "Ole,Ole,Ole" rings out quite often.

I think I know someone that might have had more...
Assuming you mean Rahm do to his dominance in LIV. But let’s be honest that’s not hard considering the level and wide openness of most courses they play and the much lesser quality of general field.

But this isn’t about LIV or Rahm you’re just trying to make Scheffler out to be something he’s not. Or maybe we should level that accusation at Rahm as he’s bullying everyone else in LIV or is it the fact they’re all limited field events so much less competition to go up Against.

I’m not against LIV but let’s not kid ourselves that the field quality is comparable.

Schefflers win ratio declines when he's not on bermuda, and he can get to choose a LOT of the tournaments he wants to play to protect that.

I'm well aware that Rahm's number of top 10's is heavily influenced by the field he's in - it's no more than an observation that he's very consistent like Scheffler.

Its unusual for Mel to make a statement or give an opinion with being able to substantiate his claim, then start to deflect or get into whataboutary 🤣.

Recent evidence would suggest Rham can beat a poor limited field on a resort course, but struggles against a higher calibre field on a proper course. However, last year he couldn’t even do the first thing.

There’s a big difference though between a man being able to choose his tournaments because he’s earned the right to than a man paid millions to rock and play smaller fields on easier course set ups.

Scheffler record in majors is also better than Rahms since 2020. Rahms is still decent but using him as an example
Trying to make Scheffler look like a flat track bully is poor as the same argument can be lauded at Rahm.

Why not just accept the fact Scottie is far and away the best in the world right now. Not everything has to be negative toward either tour!

Nah - crowds outside the US don’t really do that outside the Ryder Cup

Didn’t realise that Scheffler first win on a major tour was in 2022 - so in 4 years he has won 25 career titles including 4 majors , his record over those 4 years is unreal

Phoenix Open if I remember rightly. His stats are a joke something like every 1 in 2 events is a top 10 finish, he wins 13% of the events he enters and has made 70 consecutive cuts.

But yeah flat track bully. He is showing no signs of letting up.

Because it’s better to get LIV some attention than none.

What the RBC and Fitzy has to do with LIV is beyond me, but somehow they’re in the discussion.🤷‍♂️

Ridiculous how some have the enforce it to make it more relevant. I’ve nothing against LIV but people need to stop trying to make comparisons and just enjoy each event for what it is.

Scheffler played well again, Fitz regrouped and was absolutely clutch when he needed to be. Great course, great event and superb golf.
