Professional Golf

I thought I heard 16, 17, 18 then possibly 17 as a sudden death hole if required. I would only go up to as much as 50p in backing this though 😄
"Players will revisit the iconic back three holes at TPC Sawgrass, which includes the epic par-5 16th, the terrifying island green at 17th, and the hazardous par-4 on 18th. Whoever has the lowest score after those three holes wins.

If there is still a tie after that three-hole format, the players go to sudden death and play the 17th again. If it's still level, they go back to 16, then through 17, and 18 until we have a winner."

Very confusing, I'd have thought after the three-hole play-off you'd just keep playing the same hole for the sudden death, not go 17, 16, 17, 18. 😵‍💫

Edit: The above was from Golf Monthly but I've seen other pages saying it slightly differently. 😂 According to Today's Golfer:
"Any players tied for 1st after 72 holes of regulation play will return to play the 16th, 17th and 18th.

If any players are still tied at that point, the playoff will revert to sudden-death mode, starting on 17, then 18, then 16, and back to 17 if needed, and so on until there is a winner."

Looks like GM let us down on this one as others are agreeing with that one. So it's 16-17-18, then 17, 18, 16, 17, 18. Clear as mud.

Certainly it's clear for those involved. For others, so what?

Some of these posts would be better in "Random Irritations" instead. :)
Persons posts about play off in recent pro event in the Pro Golf thread. You don’t like it so post a flippant response , someone tells you to chill and you post this.

Bit of a weird thing to get irritated about someone posting about Golf In a Golf thread. Maybe you belong in the irritation thread instead because you’ve had a mare here 😂

Was the dpwt on tellybox in UK yesterday?
No youtube highlights available from day 1 and no shot vids on european tour website, which is unusual

Watched a bit of the golf last night. Really
Good seeing Brooks playing himself back into some sort of form. You can see he’s still rusty but her was throwing some darts last night. He’ll be annoyed to miss a short putt on the last but sat inside the top 10 and only 4 shots back, would be good to see him push on.

Also nice to see a course that’s shorter in length compared to the stadium courses and playing difficult purely because of smaller greens, good length rough and well thought out pin placements.

Valsparn with a great finish going on. 3 Englishman in with a great chance of a win Jordan Smith leader in the Clubhouse at -9, Fitzpatrick alongside him in a 3 way lead and Marco Penge just a shot back at -8.
Fantastic bounce back if he can do it.

Edit: Done it. 👏👏👏👏
