Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

Well played.

Never heard of him! 😂

Been a great few weeks for Spanish golf, and young LIV players, and indeed The Fireballs.

Ballester and now Puig. Vamos.

Like the Liverpool fans booing Trent Alexander-Arnold t'other week cos he had the audacity to leave the club. Bearing in mind the tragedy that hit the club over the summer - that would have had a big impact on the kid (like all the other players and staff that had worked with Diogo Jota). Personally, I don't get the mentality.

Of course all people have their moments and any / all football teams have their section of idiot fans…but there’s something about Liverpool fans in particular that is simultaneously sanctimonious, permanently outraged and yet at the same time hostile and vitriolic to anyone who leaves their club 🤣

Only ever been to Anfield once - when Huddersfield had their brief spell in the PL a few years back. All I can say about the Liverpool fans that day was it was a massive disappointment. I know they get up for the big matches, European nights etc, but the atmosphere inside the ground was pretty lame that day.

I tend not to bother watching much footy these days as I do find some fan behaviour a bit cringe. I've a mate who's a Leeds fan and if they win and Huddersfield lose he's straight on Facebook giving it large with "dog botherers" comments and laughing face emojis. The guy's 55 years old ffs... :ROFLMAO:

Yawn.

The other way to look at it is we’re passionate, loyal and don’t take things lying down. I know how I’d rather be.

On Trent, he’s a boyhood Liverpool fan who spent years talking about legacy, wanting to be the captain, I was raised in the shadow of anfield, trotted out the ‘this means more line’… who spent months dragging out contract talks and flashing his bits to one of our biggest rivals of recent years.

Depends how you look at it.

See your Puig and raise you Cam Smith. 🤣🤣 My mate in Brisbane was slagging him off something rotten last night. Took the cash, too much drinking and fishing with his mates.

More seriously, Puig was so in control this week, fair play to him. Not the strongest field, but you still have to beat the field.

On another matter, how come the Nedbank and Aussie Open are the same week???

Was wondering the same about the two tournaments.

So looks like there are 3 top level events this week

Down Under there is a the Australian Open

Then in SA there is the Nedbank

And then there is a Hero Challenge on the PGAT

In some ways it’s good that we have top golfers playing all over the world at the same time but it’s a shame that more of the top guys don’t focus on the Aus Open which imo should be the man attraction this week

Yeh, agree with that. Historically a great tournament, some say it should be a major, and so it would’ve been nice if all the top players played in it. They all seem to be against too much travel, which seems alien to me. I know I don’t travel away from home every other week so it’s easy for me to say, but it’s not a bad life is it! How awful, I’m off to Australia for a couple of weeks to play golf for millions of dollars!
