I have decided that after making little progress recently I am looking for someone else to have lessons with. My current teacher initially got me improving but I have not really moved on in the last 6 months despite putting a lot of work in. I am looking for someone who has Trackman (or equivilant) and uses video as my current pro doesn't. Any recommendations would be great.

Try the guys at Kings Hill GC (Mark Trow)

excellent pro, brings you on a stage at a time, got me down from 20 - 16 in 12 months. progressively changing small things, made my swing much more compact and repeatable. Hope to come down more shots this summer!

The pro at Shirley park comes well recommended and uses either track man or flight scope.

A few low cappers from our place use him. Matt at Surrey national is also good but is not easy to get hold of.

The guys at West Kent have a new studio that's meant to be the dogs.

Tim Milford at Pedham

Or Paul Page at West Malling if you want to travel a bit further.

I use Paul Page from time to time, he doesn't use Trackman etc but his teaching is simple and he gives great value for money imo.

Sundridge Park - Stuart Dowsett is head pro and has some "lower" tour pro's among his clients but may be a bit technical. One of his assistants, John Macklin, is an excellent coach and they have all the gear with teaching and custom fitting bay.

Shirley Park - As mentioned, Mick Taylor is well recommended as is the other coach Jon Bird who is/was associated with the club but also teaches with Cannon Golf in Sydenham.

Royal Magpie - I have heard that Tristan Hodgkinson who has recently moved there is good. One of my playing partners has lessons with him.

If that's the same Tristan that used to be at American golf in long lane , then I'll second that.

Very easy to understand and teaches in what i would say was a very uncomplicated manor with good results

The guys, and girl at Chelsfield are supposed to be very good as are the guys at birchwood.
havent got first experience of them as Ive never had a lesson but friends have used them and given good feed back

Matt at Chelsfield is good, not sure they have the technology there though

Really like the look of this one and the location is good for me. Does anybody have any first hand experience with Jay? I like the idea of a younger guy with modern ideas and technology.

I did have a putting lesson with, he's was very good for that.
Can't help with swing lessons though.
Really nice bloke, he worked part time at my local, thats how I knew him originally.

Another recommendation for Jay Kelly, he keeps things very simple and teaches all levels. The new studio has lots of technology and is one of the best I have seen.
