Wondering what your Club does.
Looking for advice on the idea of rewarding Junior's (under 18) performances in Club Comps.
At our Club they can currently enter all Comps (paying no entry fee) & can win Honours Board but not money.
There's thoughts of offering a small £10 voucher for best Junior with a £2 entry fee (& can still take the Honours Boards). Full Members pay £4 for Comp & 2's

Surely it’s the same as members because no one can win money as such and all prizes are in the form of vouchers to be used in the pro shop

Yes its all vouchers of course. However do you give them access to the main prizes without full entry fees. I guess there's a bit of a problem if you ask them to pay full entry fees as some may not be able to afford it as well as the lessons they are generally having, even though most of these are at preferential rates.
Is it better to maintain an affordable entry fee for a lesser prize that is an acknowledgment of their achievement rather than appearing to encourage golf as a money earning exercise...…. playing for the enjoyment of it

They are entering a competition- they pay the same entry fee as everyone else

If they can’t afford to pay it then they don’t enter it

They already get cheap membership- don’t make things too awkward

Same comps , same entrance fee , same prizes

Agreed
If you're going to let them enter for nothing then they shouldn't be able to win the big prize.
Pay the same, win the same

Our regular entry fee is £3 twos are an optional £1.

Juniors pay the full amount and are treated equally.

Your idea is one to think about.

At our home club, when Adam was a junior, he could enter all adult comps, (we) had to pay the same entry fee and could win the money just like an adult member. Same for the 2s pot.

Basically the same as an adult, no difference.
