So we had a seniors comp postponed a few weeks ago and rearranged for today. Names were put on a sheet weeks ago and carried forward to today.

There is also a regular stableford sweep every Tuesday, open to all.

One of the lads asked a committee member what we had to do re paying, and was told to pay the sweep entry fee. I did likewise.

After playing I entered my score via the phone app. After doing so, I noticed that there were in fact 2 comps on the app, and I had entered my score in the regular sweep, and not the Seniors comp.

I then put my score in against the Seniors comp, however EG is now showing my score against both comps. I'm assuming it will therefore be double counted when the handicap calcs are done overnight which can't be right?

(Both comps are stableford off the yellows)

Advice please!

H&C should have made it clear that you could enter only one comp.
Or, they could have made it a combined comp - so only one comp, but with separate prizes for the seniors. I've seen this kind of thing happen at my club.

As to what is to be done about it in your case now, DUNNO.

I scored 39 points and am sitting 2nd in the Seniors comp and in 1st in the sweep ? I'm hoping I don't get double whammied overnight!

As WHS has no concept of time of day it will take it as two different rounds in different comps on the same day.

yes, that's my worry. am hoping the pro shop will be able to delete one of the rounds tomorrow. Can't see any option for me to delete unfortunately.

You need to contact your Handicap Secretary and request that they delete one of those scores from your WHS record.

In addition to removing you from one of the competitions in your club's system and waiting to see if the update adjusts the WHS data. I suspect they will still have delete it via the WHS Portal.

Hopefully another poster will have some experience of removing a competition score.

Managed to get the duplicate removed from the system before last night's calc. 0.7 cut overnight, God knows what it would have been with the duplicate still there!
