Predict the results tomorrow

Oh - I forgot about scores!:D

I dropped 3 shots in the last 7 holes:D This helped come in at 94! Given a 75 CSS R/O that was not a bad result given a fair few mistakes and 5 lost balls!

Paul has very graciously avoided mentioning my score which is very kind indeed. Thank you Paul!

In fact, we had a really nice day and the course was as magnificent in terms of it's condition as it was in it's difficulty. Very hard to score well off the black tees.

My own day can be easily summarised by the 5th and 14th holes. On the 5th tee, Chris hit a scabby fade to the right. Paul hooked his left into deep jungle. I hit a good shot down the left side of the hole. Paul miraculously found his ball in a clear spot in the woods. Chris was in the semi on the left after bouncing away from the trees. Mine hit short grass on landing, bounced left past a fir tree and was never seen again.

On number 14, I hit a powerful 3 iron into a stiff breeze. It pitched on the green and could have bounced straight towards the pin but instead, banked right on landing, troubled some Egyptian Geese and trickled into the lake! Forwards at the drop zone, I had 90 yards into wind. I hit a lovely sand iron straight at the flag which landed about 10 feet short and ran back a little before stopping. 5 seconds later, it decided to roll back and right for another five feet before coming to rest again. A further pause was ended as the ball rolled again, this time, into the lake! Another sand iron was then hit beyond the pin to 18 feet and I slotted the putt for a very nice 7.

It was not my day, compounded by throwing up in the woods on the 4th hole! All my luck was bad and I'd mentally given up after missing a three foot putt on the first for par!

My score? Well I had the worst gross score of the three of us and can confirm that it was not in the 90's.......

Great day in lovely company. Just a shame that I was, from a golfing perspective, heated in the crucible of humiliation.

Great last few holes Paul. Sausage sandwich strikes again though! Looks like it takes 2 holes to have positive effect!

Taking SSS (71? or even 72), that's still, just, closer to the ton than handicap I'm afraid! :D

I think CSS is more reflective of actual handicap Ross - and that tips it in my balance by 1!:D
