Poor service from howdidido website!

You don't enter scores into HDID

It's entered into CS which then pushes the results to HDID

And yes you can't register with HDID unless your club is on CS .

The club should put their scores on their website on the public side so that everyone can see

Which club is it and I can have a check

Thanks LP - It was Bellshill - @WilliamAlex's track. Also what is CS?

I know I came nowhere in the comp - but would like to compare my scores with my brother's (who also played in it) to see what result would have been if we'd played matchplay. I think he might have beat me :)

Assuming your brother's christian name starts with a D, I think your score easily beats his...

A basic HDID question. I played in an Open comp last weekend and we entered our score into HDID. Now my club is not on HDID - that seems to mean that I cannot register - and not being registered seems to mean hat I cannot see the competition scores - and hence I cannot see my own score or where I came.

Or am I missing something?

Hugh ,your home club must be registered on HDID before you can get access . It the same for me I'm unable to access other providers the likes of Master Scoreboard or Club 2000 .
You could possibly get the scores/results by going into my clubs webpage and search under the Wiki spaces option.

You can get Masters Scoreboard results without any kind of account, you can even look at individual players competition history

EDIT: Might be club dependent, happened to just put an A in the search bar and opened Abbey Moor which is the closest to me and it let me look, doesn't look to be working with others

You can access scores from clubs using Handicapmaster by going on to masterscoreboard.co.uk. Some clubs - and I can't imagine why they do it - will block outsiders from viewing their results.
You can look at mine anytime Billy.

Cheers Jim, if you show me yours I'll show you mine :D.
But seriously, I've came across a few clubs that block non members from accessing scores on sites like Master Scoreboard.
You either wait for them publishing the results on their open results page, which can take nearly a week sometimes.
I usually try and call the next day for senior comp results, but very seldom do i get get an answer, they're probably all be in their beds knackered.

I'd pick that to be 'Club Systems'! They are the providers of Club 2000 - which runs on a dedicated, club based PC. The results can then be 'published' to HDID!

HandicapMaster is a totally Web-based system. IntelligientGolf is another widely used, web-based system.

As the 'original' computer based handicap system providers, Club Systems have the major share of the market! That doesn't mean they are the best!

Two weeks later and I am still waiting for an explanation for what happened to my missing scores! OK, not the end of the World, but it is nice to be able to look back at one's better rounds. :(
