As per the above anyone play with glasses on, unfortunately whilst the eyes are only slightly going I'm feeling the need to wear my glasses more often.

Played the other night and felt an horrendous strain focusing throughout 18 holes.

Feel it might be time to give them a try, however don't fancy having to look like Dennis Taylor in order to enjoy a round.... Anyone play with them and find it a struggle?

.... Might see more putts which is always a bonus.....

I've started this year and it's fine. I suffer from pretty bad astigmatism so tracking a golf ball 200+ yards away without is useless. Up until this year I always wore my contacts but tbh they are a pain in the arse - problem is if they aren't quite on centre in your eye they might as well not be there. I found that quite often they shifted slightly during the swing and by the time I'd looked up focus had gone and I couldn't track the ball. Don't have this problem with my glasses on.

Best option would be laser eye surgery but unfortunately that would destroy my house deposit!

Certain pairs are better than others, smaller ones can cause issues with losing sight of the ball during the swing.

Probably my swing that's the problem thou, not the small glasses

I find that totally inexplicable. I have been playing golf wearing contacts for over 30 years with no issues whatsoever. Have you mentioned this to your optician?

I did for years and always annoyed me, I now wear contacts and find it a lot better. Night and day when it's really hot or raining!

I wear glasses and have no issues. I don't see how golf is a sport where glasses present a problem. I play a lot of squash where the fast pace and sweat hinder a little but as long as your glasses are properly fitted you will have no issues at rotation.

Are yours toric lenses for astigmatism? It might also be because my astigmatism is so high that I can only have crap monthly lenses that are nowhere near as modern as some.

Now I see where you're coming from. I started with monthlies for quite a few years but moved to daily disposables a long time ago - I sympathise as I was never really comfortable with monthlies.

I use toric lenses for the past 3 months. Should have done it years ago but poking piggy fingers in my eyes always worried me. Not a problem

I use toric dailies they are not quite 100% correction but plenty good enough to use at weekends. Did take me a while to get used to poking piggy fingers in my eyes too.

Pretty sure my glasses would fall off during my swing, always wear contact lenses and just find them so much easier.

Yeah monthlies tend to be great on day 1, after that they are a pain. I am due a contact lense check up so I'll see if there owt else I can get but never been anything suitable before.

Wearing glasses playing golf doesn't bother me. I don't get on well with contacts and have tried them a few times but I find glasses much easier. A baseball cap in the bag for when it's raining does the trick.

A guy I work with has bad eyesight but won't wear glasses or contacts playing golf. After every shot he hits its "did you see where that went?". Gets a bit annoying after a while.

I wear glasses everyday as my eyesight is not as good as it was, it's an age thing with me. But, I cannot play golf with them on, tried once and couldn't get away with it. The ball is pretty big to see so I don't have a problem hitting it down the fairway. :D
