Playing with glasses on

i wear varifocals so don't have a problem

frames are slightly larger than standard anyway

snooker players have a different and unique issues so taylors solution was reasonable for him

I where glasses for reading and distance, they are fairly weak but make the world a clearer place

Generally at Weekends and playing golf etc I where daily contacts one for reading other for distance whilst a compromise peripheral vision is much better than glasses and as others have said a million times better when raining

I use my glasses when driving/golfing or watching tv. I find i strain too much if i dont wear them and end up mentally tired nearer the end of my round of golf or watching a movie.
I dont have any frames around the bottom of my glasses which is perfect for golf as they dont get in the way when you are looking down at the ball

I have to wear my glassed whilst playing. I have a pair specifically for golf as I wear varifocals and my day to day glasses have very small lenses so the "line" messes with my sight of the ball when putting.
I don't mind them when the weather is good, but if it's raining (and windy) forget it. Like looking through a steamed up bathroom window.
Tried contacts but couldn't get the hang of them.

I wear glasses for golf. Couldn't get used to playing in vari-focals so bought a pair of Bolle wraparound glasses with prescription lenses & get on with them great. Slight problem in the rain but just wear baseball cap with slightly longer peak.

Yup varifocals for me, and as has been said re rain, cap required plus an hanky to clean off said water drops.

in the extreme heat if your heads sweaty glasses slip all over the place but still not a major problem. When picking glasses mention to the opticians that you require them for golf as well as general wearing.

Daily disposable contact lenses are best for me. Found playing in verificals a bit of a problem for a hand/eye coordination sport such as golf where you are looking down on the ball, in that the ball appears to move if you move your head at all. One of my friends could whiff a putt wearing them! Having said that I now have a pair of rather expensive premium grade varifocals that I can just about play golf wearing them.

When I first started wearing specs, many years ago, I was surprised that it only took 5 minutes to get used to playing in them. I asked for ones with no frame at the bottom but the optician explained that even these types give a distorted view at the edge. So I just got a bog standard titanium frame and had no problems whatsoever.

Same for me, worn glasses most of my life, only take them off in bed and the shower and never given a thought to them affecting my golf. I just get on with it!

I started play with glasses and still do for a quick 9 holes after work, but for 18 holes tend to use contacts, much better, but the course can get a bit windy which tends to dry them out, but prefer them to the glasses, and has been said glasses are a pain in the rain!

I wear varifocal glasses, but they are a complete pain for pretty much all sports. Switched to monthly disposable contact lens (for distance only) and the only issue I ever get now is in high wind which can make it feel like the eyes are getting dry, but I just wear my sunglasses in that case!
